Three Top Projects On Terra Network To Keep On Your Radar

Terra has been capturing the eyes of the crypto space since it took off on a moon mission last month. What decentralized apps should you be paying attention to on the Terra ecosystem?

Covered:

  • Play-to-earn With TerraFloki
  • TerraSwap DEX
  • Randomearth NFT Marketplace

Terra (LUNA) has gone on a tear in recent weeks. Following a local low of $38, the smart contract platform shot up over 100% to nearly $78 USD. After pulling back to $60, LUNA is back on track, trading at $72. As adoption of the Terra network accelerates, here are a few top Terra projects that you should keep your eyes on.

Play-to-earn With TerraFloki

The first project we’ll take a look at is an upcoming play-to-earn blockchain game called TerraFloki. The game has been under development for the past several months and is nearing launch, however, the official release date is yet to be disclosed.

TerraFloki is aiming to become one of the first movers in gaming on Terra. The in-game environment, the “FlokiVerse,” will be accessible to users who own a TerraFloki non-fungible token (NFT). Within the FlokiVerse, players can explore, socialize, play mini-games, and more.

Players will be able to buy and sell virtual planets within the FlokiVerse. So far, 576 of TerraFloki’s 1000 planets have been minted, with each planet costing either $5,000 or $10,000.

Check out this thread from Terra influencer Wolf of DeFi, which I think gives an excellent synopsis of what TerraFloki is going for with its blockchain game.

TerraSwap DEX

A decentralized exchange (DEX) allows users to facilitate the exchange of crypto tokens across a given network in a decentralized manner.

TerraSwap is the very first and most popular DEX built on the Terra network by Delight Labs. The platform lets users act as traders, liquidity providers, or both. Liquidity providers allow traders to freely swap tokens by providing the funds needed on the backend. They are compensated with a share of the trading fees generated by traders.

TerraSwap boasts a relatively low 0.3% trading fee, which many decentralized finance (DeFi) natives may appreciate as compared to the high fees on the Ethereum blockchain.

According to CoinGecko, TerraSwap has facilitated $55 million in trading volume over the last 24 hours.

Randomearth NFT Marketplace

Finally, keep an eye on NFT marketplaces on Terra, specifically Randomearth. Randomearth is one of the first and most established NFT marketplaces on Terra. The platform facilitated the sales of one of Terra’s most successful NFT collections, Galactic Punks

Just yesterday, a Galactic Punk sold for over $50,000 on Randomearth.

Last month, Randomearth announced a partnership with Zepeto — one of Asia’s largest 3D metaverse platforms with over 250 million users — to develop “Terra One.”  Terra one aims to be one of the first fully-developed metaverses on Terra. Access to the metaverse will only be available by purchasing one of the 20,000 “Terra One” NFTs on Randomearth.
