  • Cash App, which is owned by Jack Dorsey’s Block, gives users access to traditional securities and crypto, as well as give users cheap and easy options to send, lend and borrow.
  • The app heavily features Bitcoin. According to the listing, Cash App believes, it’s the  “easiest platform in the world to buy, sell, and move Bitcoin.”
  • The app recently announced that it integrated the Lightning Network into its service. The move increased the speed and expense of transacting with Bitcoin.
  • If the listing is any indication, it appears Canada is just the beginning: “The next step towards this ambition is taking our product global, and we’re looking for an operations leader to be a founding member of our Canadian team.”
  • Shake Shack revealed the other day that it’s working with Cash App on a Bitcoin rewards program for patrons of their burger joint. Lightning integration made the move possible thanks to the virtually free fees.
