- “Given our strong personal ties to Ukraine, we wanted to support in a way which felt true to who we are at OnlyFans and which focused on getting aid and support to the Ukrainian people,” said Ami Gan, OnlyFans CEO.
- OnlyFans owner Leonid Radvinsky is Ukrainian-American.
- The Ethereum donation was specifically sent to the UkraineDAO. The DAO was launched by a member of Pussy Riot, the Russian band famous for its Putin antagonism and Trippy Labs.
- Trippy Labs is an NFT artist/curator who has worked with SuperRare. So far one of their Ukraine NFTs has sold for 6.5 million USD.
- All told — and not just including crypto — OnlyFans have already donated 5 million USD to Ukraine.
- Ukraine has recently championed the use of crypto in their donation efforts pointing out the speed in which the donations can be turned into goods needed to support their troops or the many citizens still trapped in cities.
