What is LetsWalk NFT By Deekay?

Round 8 is set to drop for DeeKay this week (3/6) in his LetsWalk series. So it’s a great time to dive into who DeeKay is and why his NFT series is so fascinating.

Who is DeeKay?

DeeKay is South Korean-born animator who currently is residing in the Bay Area. Doodling from a young age, DeeKay hasn’t changed from that doodle kid that he has always been. He is just now able to bring his doodles to life with his animations.

After leaving art school because of tuition costs, he was fortunate to obtain work from studios. Even with his limited skills at the time, he was given the opportunity to showcase his talents. After fine tuning his craft, he was able to step into world of freelancing. Then he entered into the NFT space.

Along with his LetsWalk series, he has some absolutely incredible 1/1 creations. His “Destiny” NFT sold for 225 ETH to none other than, Cozomo De Medici. As you can see, his NFTs seem to fall under the “fine NFT art” category. They are so intricately beautiful, but simple at the same time.

What is LetsWalk?

LetsWalk is DeeKay’s on going project where his goal is to create 100/100 walk cycles. With Round 8 dropping on the 6th of this month, he will have completed 72/100 cycles. Each round consists of 9 walks, with a total supply of roughly 180 total walks. Each round has new unique LetsWalks added, as you can see in Round 8, a Doodles and Invisible Friends-inspired NFT were created.

There are no traits, as each walk is unique and special in its own way. Traits are a common practice in NFTs, DeeKay takes this away and puts the focus back on the art. This lets the art be in the eye of the beholder, instead of a traditionally ranked system used by most other NFT projects.

You can check out all 72 LetsWalks created here. It’ll be exciting to see how the next 28 look and where their inspiration comes from.

Where & How To Buy?

Since 63 LetsWalks have been released, you can find them on the secondary market. DeeKay’s official OpenSea page can be found here. They currently hold an overall floor of 4.7 ETH, but remember each LetsWalk is unique and limited. So other sought after ones, are much more expensive.

As for Round 8, that is dropping on March 6th. Half of the walks will be held in a ranked auction, where bids are accepted from the highest to the lowest. Each LetsWalk garners different bids, so they may vary per walk. The other half of the rounds supply will be given away via early access.

Early access is given away in a creative way within their Discord, which you can join here. Early access rules differ for each round, so be sure to keep up to date in their for announcements. One way to earn early access is simple, just sending good vibes around in the Discord and showing love will get you noticed. Sometimes it can be that simple, spread good vibes and gain access to a great project.
