Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak invested in Bitcoin due to his interest in its core technology.

During an appearance on Make It from CNBC, Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak detailed his appreciation for cryptocurrency. The man known for developing the tech side of Apple isn’t all-in on crypto, preferring Bitcoin and Ethereum to everything else.
On Bitcoin he noted, “Bitcoin is just gold. I mean, nobody owns it. It’s mathematics.” While on Ethereum he has said in the past that it could be the next Apple.
Though, despite his belief in the burgeoning technology, he’s not all in investment-wise. “I just kept one bitcoin, because I’m scared,” Wozniak said. “I don’t want to be tracking it up and down, up and down, like stocks every day. That’s just not my life… I have a lot of desire for things that are stable and predictable.”

Outside of ETH and BTC, Wozniak has also invested in crypto startups Unicoin, and Efforce. Unicoin specializes in linking up investors with startups through Wozniak’s reality show Unicorn Hunters. While Efforce funds energy efficient companies. It’s token ticker symbol is WOZX.
Though, his startups don’t seem to be doing all that well — especially Efforce. The energy start up is down more than 90%.
Wozniak doesn’t appear bothered by losing money on his investment strategy. Because as he told CNBC, the goal isn’t to “make a ton of money.” Wozniak would rather invest in projects he believes in. This philosophy has led the Apple co-founder to become a millionaire rather than a billionaire like his fellow co-founder Steve Jobs.
