Three PFP Projects Mooning In Early 2022

We’re only four days into the new year but in the NFT time, it feels like a few months. NFT PFP projects and their volume have picked up at a record pace, notably reflected in the rewards granted to their HODLers.

Although it is only the fourth day of the year, a lot has transpired in the world of NFTs within the last few days. Overall, the NFT sales volume for January is on pace to crush all previous records and it seems like nothing can stop the NFT movement of 2022.

Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC)

We’ve mentioned the MAYC in our previous BAYC articles, but MAYC really has been one of the hottest NFTs of late 2021 and early 2022. It was an expectation, upon the massive success of BAYC, that MAYC would follow suit and they have, rightfully so.

The spinoff PFP project currently holds a floor of 14.9 ETH at the time of this publishing. Their 7-day volume is ranked #1 on rarity.tools, at an impressive 25,413 ETH.

The year was kicked off in a big way when a Mega Mutant Serum was purchased for a whopping 1542.069 ETH.

Deepak Thapliyal, CEO of Chain was the buyer of this 5.8 million dollar purchase. Below is a thread on why he made the purchase and hints about his future “chug” party in the Metaverse:

Doodles

When we talk about things moving fast in the NFT world, Doodles is an excellent example of momentum. On December 15th last year, I wrote about Doodles burgeoning into an up-and-coming Blue-Chip NFT. Fast forward only a mere three weeks later and its OpenSea floor has gone from 2.3 to 8.5 ETH. That’s a 5 ETH gain in a matter of 20 days!

As mentioned in my December 15th article, the BAYC community has appeared to take an active interest in the Doodles project. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that both MAYC and Doodles are seeing similar success early in 2022.

Cool Cats

Cool Cats is another Blue-Chip NFT PFP project that we haven’t mentioned previously in NFT Corner. However, it is one of the “OG” NFTs among collectors, reflected by their staggering floor price.

When an NFT project holds a floor of 11 ETH, it’s always worth mentioning. Furthermore, it appears to have resilience even in past consolidation periods. With a 7-day trade volume of 53%, we could surmise that there’s room for the floor to raise even higher.

With four days down and 361 to go, who knows what NFT project will be the next to “moon!”
