Aurory Shows off How Your NFT Characters Will Look in Game
In some terms, blockchain games have changed the rules of the gaming industry. In traditional gaming, players have been skeptical about the “early access” funding model, and even crowdfunding. Of course, many new projects that breathed new life into the industry only saw the light of day thanks to this very funding model. On the other hand, there have been no shortage of early access crowdfunding failures either.
For its part, blockchain gaming has been doing the opposite. The developers of such projects release tokens and NFT packs even before demonstrating any gameplay. In this way, holders of their crypto and NFTs are the first to obtain alpha/beta access to the game.
Taking into consideration the decentralized nature of some crypto games, this can be regarded as a legitimate structure since the players are, in many ways, the ones who will be creating the game. On the other hand, there are some developers that cheat their players with the in-game abilities of the aforementioned NFTs, with some even creating game concepts, only to then instigate a rugpull.
Aurory has been in development for quite some time, since it was one of the first games on the Solana blockchain. So far, the project has introduced several gameplay videos and gathered a team of 28 people, some of which worked on such big titles as ‘Prince of Persia,’ ‘Assassin’s Creed,’ and ‘Far Cry.’
Now, they’ve finally introduced how your NFT characters, which had previously only been available to view in 2D, will look in the 3D environment of Aurory. Here’s the demonstration they provided:
