The partnership focuses on building crypto payment systems and starting programs to teach people about blockchain. Through this collaboration, Kyrgyzstan is placing its foot forward and embracing blockchain technology while also building a more informed and tech-ready society.
Binances Contribution to Education and Payment Service in Kyrgyzstan
The agreement was made official, and the details were shared during the first meeting of the Council for the Development of Digital Assets, with the President, President Sadyr Japarov, in attendance. As part of the plan, Binance will also bring Binance Pay to Kyrgyzstan, allowing both locals and tourists to use crypto for everyday spending.
The deal also covered the countrys interest in learning about the blockchain network. With Binance Academy, working closely with governmental bodies and banks, the nation is set out to create impactful blockchain courses for citizens. These efforts were put in place in order to improve how well people in Kyrgyzstan understand money matters and help local Web3 ideas grow.
Kyrylo Khomiakov, who leads Binance in Central and Eastern Europe, shared the companys excitement about helping grow the digital asset space in the region.
Kyrgyzstan Digital Bank Adoption Move
Along with the countrys interest in crypto and digital tools, Kyrgyzstan is also planning to release its own central bank digital currency. On April 18, President Japarov approved a new law that allows a pilot program for the digital som and gives it official payment status.
