DeGods and y00ts to Wave Farewell to Solana and Migrate to Ethereum and Polygon in 2023
- DeGods and y00ts resolved to migrate to Polygon and Ethereum in 2023.
- Both projects plan to release more migration details once they’re ready.
- The team behind y00ts and DeGods also plans to migrate $DUST to Polygon and Ethereum.
- According to the founder, DeGods and y00ts have achieved everything due to the Solana ecosystem.
On Monday, popular NFT collections DeGods and y00ts resolved to completely migrate from Solana in the first quarter of 2023.
However, the NFT projects are not planning to move to the same network. While DeGods plans to migrate to Ethereum fully, its sister project wants to continue its operation on Polygon.
DeGods will officially bridge to Ethereum in Q1 of 2023.

Both projects plan to release more migration details when they are ready and well-tested. The DeGods Season III roadmap will be released in January 2023.
“This has never been done before at this scale. We want to make sure that it's airtight. In the meantime, we will be releasing the Season III roadmap in January (for real this time)," DeGods noted.
In line with the same idea, y00ts will also release its Season 2 roadmap next month.
"The details of the bridge will be released when it's ready & tested. This has never been done before at this scale. We want to make sure that it's airtight. In the meantime, we will be releasing a more formal roadmap for y00ts: Season 2 in January," y00ts stated.
The team behind y00ts and DeGods also plans to migrate $DUST, a native utility token of both projects, to Polygon and Ethereum.
y00ts and DeGods Starting from Zero Again with Migration – Frank III
The founder of both projects, @frankdegods, thanked the Solana community and announced the migration of both projects.

The founder wants the community to understand that y00ts and DeGods are starting from zero again with the migration.
He, however, cautioned them against any negativity or aggressive behaviour against the Solana ecosystem owing to the migration. According to him, y00ts and DeGods have achieved everything due to the ecosystem, and migrating to another ecosystem poses another risk.
On the Flipside
- According to some Twitter influencers, to completely migrate DeGods to Ethereum, the team needs to burn the NFTs on Solana and re-mint on Ethereum.
It’s not just about “bridging to eth”. That would essentially just mean the “real” DeGod is locked in the bridge contract on the Solana side while an IOU is minted on the ETH side. If you want this to work, you need to fully migrate to ETH. Burn on Solana and re-mint on ETH!

Why You Should Care
FTX’s collapse took a huge toll on the Solana ecosystem due to its close ties to the exchange. This also affected NFT projects, DeGods, and y00ts, as their floor prices plummeted.
As $SOL was Alameda Research’s second-largest holding, the implications for the Solana ecosystem appear far from over. The uncertainty of the situation has prompted many projects like DeFGods and y00ts to migrate to other networks.
