The monthly trading volumes of options of ether futures on the CME have reached an ATH this month, reaching $1.26B for May, a substantial rise compared to Aprils volume of $615.75 million. Wintermute analysts suggest that the increase in open interest signifies the increasing interest of institutional investors in trading ether relative to bitcoin amid the upcoming launch of spot ether ETFs.
