As Bitcoin (BTC) passes $94,000, the altcoins are following. Layer 1 networks Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Sui (SUI) are among the top altcoins starting to outperform the number one cryptocurrency.

$ETH breaks through $1,750 resistance

The $ETH price has suffered the most torrid of times since the $4,108 high achieved in mid-December 2024. From that time, a 66% fall saw the price crash all the way down to $1,382. A period of consolidation above the $1,600 support level followed, and now the price has just broken through the $1,750 resistance.

If the $ETH price can consolidate above this level, and flip it into support, $2,000 could be the next port of call, with the $2,150 resistance just above this.

Taking all this into account, the main task for the $ETH bulls is to get above the $4,108 swing high. A failure to do so would mean a failed rally, and potentially more heartache ahead for those holding $ETH.

$SOL experiences strong rally

The $SOL price is experiencing a strong rally. After hitting a bottom at $94 only two weeks ago, the price has since surged above $150 currently.

The next task for the bulls is to consolidate the break above the $137 resistance, and turn this into strong support. Up above, the resistance levels of $162, and $180 will be targets for a continued rally.

At the bottom of the chart, the Stochastic RSI has the indicator lines angles upwards and just about to both pass the 20.00 level. Strong upside price momentum could be about to arrive.

$SUI outperforms the layer 1s

Of the three altcoins reviewed in this article, $SUI is the real outperformer. The price is up a towering 38% just this week so far. Once the resistance at $2.35 was surpassed, a flight up to the next resistance at $2.97 was easily achieved.

It appears that the price may now be rejected from this latest resistance level, and given that shorter term Stochastic RSIs have all topped out, there could be a period of sideways and downwards price action, which could even result in the price going back down to test the $2.35 support.

That said, it really looks as though $SUI has embarked on a rally back to the $5.39 all-time high. Also, given its much lower market cap, than either $ETH or $SOL, this altcoin has the potential to outperform them both over the rest of this bull market. This is one to watch.
