Ethereum Up in Flames: Crypto Burned to Protest Alleged Brain-Control Tech

An anonymous programmer has made headlines by burning and donating significant amounts of Ethereum in an effort to draw attention to claims of mind-control technology.
Ethereum Donation Raise Eyebrows
The individual going by the pseudonym of Hu Lezhi, reportedly destroyed and donated at least $7 million worth of ETH, linking the protest to allegations against a Chinese hedge fund.
As part of the action, Lezhi transferred approximately 603 ETHvalued at around $1.65 millionto a burn address, permanently removing the funds from circulation. In addition to the burn, they made several large donations, including around 700 ETH, worth approximately $2 million, to WikiLeaks, the well-known whistleblower organization.
Allegations Against a Chinese Hedge Fund
Lezhi used the high profile donations and burns to send several messages, which have created more buzz than the actual amount itself. Their claims center around accusations that two senior figures from Kuande Investment, also known as WizardQuant, have used brain-computer weapons to persecute all company employees. According to Lezhi, they realized in 2022 that they had been "manipulated by the mind control organization since birth."
A translated statement by Lezhi reads:
Brain-computer chips have been deployed militarily on a large scale. All military powers are using base stations, radios, and nano-brain-computer chips to control all citizens.
The claims further extend to allegations that advanced technologies are being used to manipulate not only humans but also animals, making them puppets or complete slaves of the digital machine.
No Clear Evidence to Support Claims
Despite the dramatic allegations, no conclusive evidence has been presented linking Lezhis claims to WizardQuant. The hedge fund has yet to respond to these accusations, and there has been no official confirmation of the existence of the alleged mind-control technology.
The large-scale Ethereum burns and donations highlight the use of blockchain technology for anonymous financial transactions and activism. The donation to WikiLeaks, in particular, underscores cryptocurrencys role in supporting controversial causes and organizations.
Broader Implications for Crypto and Transparency
The incident raises questions about the role of crypto in amplifying unverified claims and financing contentious initiatives. While Lezhis claims remain unverified, the episode has sparked discussions about the ethical and security concerns surrounding blockchain-based donations and financial movements. Whether Lezhis claims hold any truth remains uncertain, but their actions have certainly ignited debate within the crypto community.
