Former Goldman Sachs Exec Appointed CEO Of Bitcoin Mining Company
Former VP at Goldman Sachs joining a Bitcoin miner is the latest to move from Wall Street to the blockchain.

Prime Blockchain (PrimeBlock) announced today that former Goldman VP Gaurav Budhrani will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Bitcoin mining company. PrimeBlock is a member of the Bitcoin Mining Council, spearheaded by Michael Saylor. It has mining operations in North Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and Canada.

- Previously at Goldman, Budhrani led crypto investment banking for the investment bank. Just the other day, Portal (cross-chain dex) and ANKR (blockchain infrastructure) announced that Budhrani was part of an $8.5 million USD raise.
- Interesting corporate synergy here: co-founder of PrimeBlock Chandler Song is also the CEO of Ankr.

- PrimeBlock also announced that Alan Konevsky, a managing director at Goldman Sachs, will become their Chief Legal Officer (CLO). He has an extensive legal background, specifically in the areas of private equity and mergers & acquisitions.
- According to their press release, PrimeBlock, “…operates approximately 1,000 PH/s in hashing capacity which is equivalent to approximately 0.6% of the total global Bitcoin hash rate.”
