Odell Beckham’s Interest In NFTs
During an appearance on the Up Only podcast, Crypto Cobain (a.k.a. Cobie) asked Odell Beckham if he wanted to collaborate on an NFT project. “I know the right people,” Cobie added. “I can get contracts made instantly.” Odell responded, “Let’s talk about it. You hit me up when we get off this. Figure it out.”
Considering Odell Beckham’s recent purchase of a crypto punk, it’s unsurprising he’d be interested in an NFT collab. But, what was surprising, is he’s not just another celeb looking to cynically cash in on the NFT craze.
Odell spent most of the appearance asking the hosts (Cobie and Ledger) questions about the cryptospace, rather than just shilling his bags. He told the hosts, “I’ll be the first one to tell you I’m very new to this space. But I’m definitely down to learn.”
He even went as far as asking, “If I gave you a million dollars right now, and you were to tell me where to invest that in, what would you say?” The hosts were quick to say they aren’t financial advisors, but proceeded to give him some general advice about investing in Eth killers like Avalanche.
His eagerness to learn contrasts with the image of Odell, the NFL star. He’s oft derided for being difficult. But, the NFL has a history of painting players with the wrong brush.
Odell Beckham’s Investments In Crypto
Beyond NFT’s, Odell is already invested in the crypto space. Co-host of Up Only, Ledger brought up that Odell owns Bitcoin. Odell also mentioned Ethereum and Dogecoin, but didn’t specify whether he owned them.
He is also investing in startups like Titan Crypto. Titan bills itself as the first actively managed crypto product. It’s geared toward investors who want exposure, but would rather experts make their picks for them.

Odell is the latest athlete to get involved.
Other NFLers like Russell Okung, and Sean Culkin wanted their salary in crypto. Trevor Lawrence and Tom Brady have crypto deals with FTX. Not to mention, Saquon Barkley is taking his endorsement money in crypto.
Even football star Lionel Messi is getting some of his contract in PSG.
Cobie asked Odell why athletes are suddenly taking money in crypto. Odell wasn’t sure.
“I honestly I’d like you to answer that for me, if I’m missing out on something, I’d like to know.”
