Lionkingdom, The Ethereum-Based Metaverse NFT Game

The Following Post Is Sponsored.

Please keep in mind, anything in crypto is inherently risky, so please do your own research before investing. The following is not a recommendation, just a summary of the project. This not financial advice.

Metaverse Gaming

Since Facebook announced their plans to rebrand themselves to Meta, interest in metaverse gaming is skyrocketing. And, there is no shortage of games. However, they don’t come cheap.

For example, Decentraland is becoming more and more expensive, with land going for hundreds of thousands.  And, countless other metaverse games like Axie Infinity are already too cost-prohibitive as well. Which leaves you looking for a new and upcoming metaverse project that fits into your budget.

Is Lionkingdom that project you’re looking for? Let’s take a look.

What Is Lionkingdom?

One look at the art, and it’s obvious what it pays homage to. Hint: it’s one of the most popular animated movies of all time. Though, it’s not a ripoff of said movie. Lionkingdom updates the familiar characters with a funkier, lighthearted look.

However, there’s more to the project. Lionkingdom bills itself as an “NFT collection built on Ethereum Blockchain focused on Metaverse gaming.” Basically, boiled down, that means it’s not just a PFP (Stand for “Profile Pic) project you can flaunt on social media. The NFTs you buy will become a part of a game played by an entire ecosystem’s worth of people.

Each lion is given their own plot of land, known as a Kingdom. This will facilitate hunting, breeding, and even war with rival Lion kingdoms.

Beyond that, they plan to add an ERC-20 as part of phase 2 in 2022. That will allow members of the community to stake and farm their tokens.

Roadmap

A roadmap is an important tool for DYOR (Doing Your Own Research). Poring through a roadmap can really help give you an idea of whether a project is worth investing in.

Lionkingdom’s roadmap breaks down into four phases: phase 1 in 2021, and phase 2, 3, and 4 in 2022.

Phase 1 is all about establishing the community. It begins with airdrops/ETH giveaways to lucky winners, minting of 10,000 NFTs, and establishing a liquidity pool to foster community growth.

Phase 2 centers around the aforementioned ERC-20 launch. Phase 3 revolves around the racing game. Phase 4 is for breeding. Phase 3 and 4 will run similarly to the way most racing games do when they introduce the ability to create more racing options through breeding. No word yet on how realistic their genetic system will be.

The Drop

The drop is on November 15th, beginning at 9 am EST. The drop will include 10,000 Lionkingdom NFTs. Each one is a randomly generated cub with a combination of 175 randomly chosen different traits. You can find the Lions on the Etherscan in the form of ERC-721 tokens.

As part of the drop, you will own the full commercial rights to each Lionkingdom character you purchase.

If you do want to take a look further, you can check out the Lionkingdom website to mint, or on their official OpenSea page.
