“I’m a fan of the merger, I think the energy usage issue is important.”
He is optimistic about the merger but also stated that it will take time and that it is uncertain as to when it will rise. According to the decision, the merger will take place on September 15 and Ethereum will switch from proof of work to proof of stake, which is predicted to reduce the network’s energy consumption by 99.9%.

Cuban continued, saying he is still quite bullish on Ethereum, “I think the applications to drive usage will be there.”
