Hip Hop Superstar & Crypto Enthusiast Gets Shot In Public
Several videos have since surfaced on social media showing the last moments of Takeoff’s life in a crowded bowling alley. As the sound of multiple gunshots scared off most of the guests, many on Twitter find it absolutely horrendous how the host of the party and the general manager of Mob Ties Records, J. Prince Jr., walked past the dead rapper’s body like it was nothing.
Migos is arguably the most influential hip hop band of the modern era. Indeed, the Trap music pioneers invented the staccato ‘Migos Flow’ and inspired a massive number of memes with the hit single “Bad & Boujee”. They also stirred a major dabbing craze with “Look At My Dab”, which caught the attention of fellow musicians, athletes, entertainers, and even politicians.

Apes In Space NFT Collection Shoots Up 259%
The late rapper made the entrance to Web 3.0 in late 2021, with the Apes In Space NFT collection. The blue-chip NFTs were initially sold for 0.3 Ethereum (ETH) each and came with real-life perks. Takeoff even revealed plans to choose one lucky NFT enthusiast for an outer space experience. According to HypeBeast, Takeoff planned to join the contest winner on the space journey.
Prior to launching his own project, the Migos rapper bought a CryptoPunks NFT for a whopping 95 ETH, which equals $148,419.62 at the current rate. Takeoff also owned a Mutant Ape NFT. Naturally, the entrance to the Bored Apes Yacht Club must have set him aback at least 70 ETH, which was the floor price for BAYC NFT at the time.
Besides, Takeoff’s own project, the Apes In Space NFT was supposed to be the “biggest Hip-Hop festival in the Metaverse”. The intergalactic plans to take a fan for a space journey contributed to the NFT project’s success, as Apes In Space is ranked #333 on NFT Floor Price. Ultimately, the NFT project’s trading volume skyrocketed by 259% right after the sad news of the music icon’s passing.
