The fourth place was in series C by fintech Ebanx in June, which received in an investment round the amount of US$ 430 million (R$ 2.4 billion) from Advent International. And why isn't she third? Is that out of that amount, "only" US$ 400 million went to the startup. The other US$ 30 million (R$ 168 million) will be used to support the company's future IPO (listing on the Stock Exchange), which will take place in the United States.

Fifth place belongs to proptech Quinto Floor. Its series E-type round in May raised $300 million (R$1.6 billion). The round was led by Rabbit Capital and featured SoftBank Latin America Fund, LTS, Maverick, Alta Park, Dragoneer, Qualcomm and Kaszek Ventures.

According to the monthly report Inside Venture Capital, produced by the District, in 2021 there was in Brazil US$ 8.85 billion (R$ billion) in contributions, in a total of 677 rounds. “One of the highlights of 2021 was the number of startups that had investment megarounds. We had very large rounds that leveraged the total for the year, already three times greater than that of 2020. This is because companies have become more mature, with higher capital consumption and more investments in technologies", Gustavo Araujo, CEO and co-founder told R7 of the District.
