Hello and welcome to the October 2022 eToro Portfolio Update.
My eToro username is PassionForProfit.
My portfolio in October has gone up by 1.26%.
Currently, 14 people are copying my portfolio.
I am a Cadet Popular Investor.
The month of October closed with a profit of 1.26%.
My portfolio is recovering from a negative start of the year.
In the month of October, there a been a huge tech stock sell-off driven by the disappointing earnings report of Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Meta. However, the major indices have closed the month in profit. I want to mention that all my positions on Twitter have been forced to close after the company acquisition by Elon Musk.
On a short-term basis, there is room for the markets to go up as shown by the indicators. This week there will be a new FED meeting and any good news from them, such as slowing the interest rates hikes will be a reason for the markets to rally. Another reason that can lead to a positive movement in the markets is the result of the mid-term election. However, we are not in a bull market yet, so it is important to remain cautious.
The current asset allocation of my portfolio is:
- 21% Stocks
- 29% ETFs
- 50% Cash
Last month I closed all my short positions in profit on stocks.
I have only long positions open on my portfolio, at the moment.
I raised my cash in balance, which I am planning to use to open new positions at the right time.
The risk score of my portfolio increased to 5 after I closed all the short positions.
These are my recommendations for copiers and anyone who wants to invest in my portfolio:
- Be patient and remain calm
- Keep the copy open for long term
- Invest at least 1000 USD
If you have less than 1000 USD, you can start with a lower amount now and add more later.
If you can, keep adding funds to the copy every month.
My 2022 goals are:
- To close next months in profit
- Keeping the risk score low
- To become a Champion Popular Investor.
In Summary, last month my portfolio closed at profit.
I am expecting the markets to go up in the short term.
Now is a good time to start investing in my portfolio, if you are new or you can add more funds to the copy if you are already a copier.
