Tokens.com announced today via press release that they just added a SHIB load of Shiba Inu token to their balance sheet on November 3rd, 2021. According to the release, the Toronto-based blockchain investment company added 833 million Shiba Inu (Ticker symbol: SHIB) tokens to their portfolio.

- Tokens.com describes itself as, “a publicly traded company that uses its balance sheet to invest in digital assets used for crypto staking and DeFi.”
- “We believe we are the first publicly traded company to provide its investors with exposure to SHIB tokens,” said Andrew Kiguel, CEO of Tokens.com
- Tokens.com takes an unusual approach. Rather than operating as a crypto exchange where customers buy through them, they themselves add digital assets to their balance sheet. The move allows investors to gain exposure to crypto and avoid regulatory hurdles that still exist.
- Tokens.com intends to stake their Shiba Inu tokens. Also, “Staking is the environmentally friendly alternative to crypto mining,” according to Tokens.com
- As of press time, 833 million shib works out to about $45k USD.
- According to their SEDAR profile, the Size of Issuer (Assets) ofTokens.com falls somewhere between $25,000,001 to $100,000,000 CAD.
- Shiba Inu is down 3.5% the last 24 hours, and 22% the last 7 days. In addition, SHIB just fell out of the top 10 in market cap.
- Making matters worse for the memecoin, Dogecoin took back its alpha status. The old DOGE is up 6 billion on Shiba Inu. DOGE’s market cap is currently in 37 billion range, while SHIB is in the 31 billion range.
