Tether Mints 1 Billion USDT Tokens for Inventory Replenishment on Tron Network
The minted tokens, authorized in advance, will be held in reserve to potentially meet future demand.
Replenishing Inventory and Previous Mints
This mint follows similar actions taken by Tether earlier in March 2025, including billion-dollar mints on March 19 and March 1. As of now, the newly minted USDT tokens have not yet entered circulation. This proactive approach is aimed at ensuring Tether is prepared to meet the demand for stablecoin liquidity.
The total market cap of Tether has reached $144.12 billion at the time of writing, having surpassed the $140 billion milestone in December 2024.
