“The Metaflower Super Mega Yacht” NFT was sold for a record price of 149 ETH (around $650,000 USD). The NFT was made by a developer from Realm Metaverse Real Estate, which offers a portfolio of digital real estates across 13 metaverses.
The digital asset is a part of “The Fantasy Collection” which offers a range of luxury NFTs. The collection was made for The Sandbox, the leading NFT-based decentralized virtual gaming world built on the Ethereum blockchain; the digital yacht becomes the most expensive NFT sold to date in the ecosystem.
The Metaflower yacht can fit 10,000 Bored Apes and includes a DJ booth, pool, heli pad, hot tub, boat garage, and many other amenities. Creators call it “The Crown Jewel of the Metaverse.”
The auction for the digital megayacht lasted 6 days, and just 12 hours before the sale was finalized, the highest bid was 5.82 ETH.
