The Most Similar Blockchain Game to the Original Pokémon Games Has Launched a Closed Beta – Chainmonsters
Although I often mention that the crypto gaming market is flooded with Pokémon style games, various game studios have tried to master the virtual pet genre. That’s not to say that it doesn’t make sense for the blockchain gaming industry, it does, since these projects are designed in a way that constantly raises the entry level, especially in terms of initial investment requirements.
Each new project tends to raise the bar in an overused genre, thereby making them a unique offering. B-Side Games have chosen to attempt the creation of the closest thing possible to the original Pokémon games. By this, I mean working to match the visuals and gameplay mechanics of the beloved franchise.
While the gameplay of Axie Infinity, and most of the other virtual pet games on blockchain, largely revolves around making a profit and obtaining the rarest creatures, Chainmonsters seems to have more of a focus on the adventure
So far, Chainmonsters is a 2D/3D MMO RPG for Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android and has built-in cross-play features. There are 135 unique Chainmons, which you can freely catch in the game world. The game and its tokenomics are built on the Flow blockchain. You can apply to join the beta here.
