According to the founding team, the emergence of Covid-19 further spurred interest to develop the OneRare game. With everyone locked into their cubicles, it was imminent to come up with an exciting game that would not just keep everyone engaged but also expose them to internal cuisines at the comfort of their desktops.
Innovative Idea and Exciting Gameplay
The project is designed with Web3 technologies alongside React and Material UI to offer a seamless gameplay and immersive experience to users. It is a special Foodverse with exciting game dynamics and a tokenization layer that allows players to earn from farming ingredients and selling, collecting them, and minting Dish NFTs.
Players earn by minting an NFT dish, which involves collecting ingredients for a recipe. Once the ingredients are submitted in the kitchen, the player gets an NFT-based dish. The team of experienced developers have disclosed that Players can mint two types of dishes – rare dish or rarest of all.
Rare dishes are popular recipes from across the world while the rarest of all are unique recipes that are minted once. Players can earn lucrative rewards in four ways – The Farm, Farmer’s Market, Kitchen, and Playground.
The Farm allows the players to grow ingredients based on the recipe they would want to mint and sell them in the Farmer’s market to earn ORARE tokens. ORARE tokens is the governance token that empowers holders to play in the game and transact in the farmer’s market. According to the developers, farmers can only grow one crop at a time in the common farm area.
The project has a Farmer’s Market which is the game’s inhouse marketplace, and has three shops. It constitutes a Farmer’s shop where farmed ingredients are sold, OneRare Shop where special ingredients are sold, and Dish Sellers where owners of Dish NFTs resell their dishes for ORARE tokens.
The Kitchen is the core of the foodverse, where all the recipes from across the globe are assimilated. Players earn by collecting a list of ingredients peculiar to the dish, and once completed, the player earns a Dish NFT, which allows the player to participate in the playground. The players battle it out amongst themselves in a series of mini games to win ORARE tokens.

Players have so much more to look up to in the OneRare game. Earning a NFT isn’t the only thing but those NFTs also empower the players to meet celebrity chefs, food brands, and access restaurants.
