Tom Brady Rug Pull

When seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady retired last month, many had speculated it was to focus on crypto. What they didn’t expect was that he’d rug pull us all by returning to the NFL for his 23rd season.

Though, it should hardly be a surprise that the famously competitive quarterback — who’s discovered the fountain of HGH — would return to the NFL, one fan learned the hard way that you shouldn’t invest in volatile assets like Tom Brady retiring.

An auction house sold off Tom Brady’s “last TD pass,” to an anonymous fan for over 500k. Tom Brady unretired the very next day. I’m not suggesting the timing is suspicious on Brady’s end. In fact, Brady’s decision happened to be a day before NFL free agency began. Brady’s team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, would have approached free agency far differently if he hadn’t retired by that day.

But the auction house sure didn’t do a lot to protect investors by scheduling it the day before free agency starts. Should auction houses be regulated by the SEC?

JK. Scams only happen in crypto.

Either way, Tom Brady has offered Bitcoin to a charity of the anonymous buyer’s choice. And again, it’s coming from FTX.

Vitalik/Brady Comparison

Oddly enough, that’s not the only Tom Brady crypto news in the last 24 hours. Also oddly enough, Vitalik Buterin and Tom Brady have found themselves forever enmeshed.

A bunch of Twitter s**tposters decided to give their 2 cents on Vitalik’s Time Magazine. Of course, it’s a great accomplishment for the 28-year-old founder of Ethereum, but apparently, people aren’t impressed by the most important public figure in crypto’s development.

“I have never seen a face more deserving of being shoved into a locker in my entire life,” said one particularly mean Twitter user. Though, others were worse. And, very Tom-Brady focused for some reason. “He looks like the clone Tom Brady keeps locked in his basement to periodically feed on to stay healthy,” read one tweet. Another said, “This is if Tom Brady ate dog food.”

These users, apparently, are unaware that there are some people out there who prefer intellectual pursuits over sculpting their bodies and eating avocado ice cream.

Funny enough, Vitalik Buterin didn’t seem too phased by the whole thing. “I didn’t even know who Tom Brady is, had to ask people around me. My best guess was that he was the actor from Mission Impossible.”

I reached out to Tom Brady to confirm whether he too hasn’t heard of Vitalik Buterin. As of press time, the quarterback has yet to respond.
