Top 20 Metaverse Coins by Market Cap to Invest in by the End of 2021

The metaverse has become a hit in the last few months and has garnered a lot of attention from investors and tech enthusiasts. As older games are advancing in their development, and new metaverses are setting their launch dates, DailyCoin has listed the top 20 metaverses by coin market cap.

 

20. Yield Guild Games

YGG is a global play-to-earn gaming community that enables diverse blockchain game players to earn real money by playing NFT games. Yield Guild Games is a DAO (decentralized autonomous organization), where players collectively decide the preferred games and digital asset investments to use in-game. 

 

19. Vulcan Forged PYR

Vulcan Forged PYR is a blockchain-based game studio and NFT marketplace. Users can buy and sell digital in-game assets in the Vulcanverse. Vulcan Forged PYR plans to reach 100k wallets by the end of 2021.

 

18. MOBOX

MOMOverse is a metaverse of over 3 million registered users, +$224,000 NFT trade volume, and 58,248 NFTs minted so far. An exceptional milestone is that Mobox’s most expensive NFT sold for $620,000. The metaverse is owned by players, has a play-to-earn function, and provides added value for NFTs (“assets can be used across the whole ecosystem,” in multiple games simultaneously).

Radio Caca operates as a token for the Universal Metaverse, while also managing Maye Musk Mystery Box NFT. The Universal Metaverse is a 3D virtual world where users can own virtual property, showcase art, and play and create games.

Bloktopia is a decentralized metaverse built in the Polygon ecosystem. It’s a Skyscraper of 21 levels, a central hub for all types of crypto enthusiasts. Bloktopia has access to information and content about crypto and allows “Bloktopians” to earn revenue through owning real estate, advertising revenue, playing games, building networks, and more. The metaverse provides an out-of-the-ordinary virtual reality experience and connects users in an open and engaging environment.

Illuvium is an RPG adventure game backed by the Ethereum blockchain. It features an inside NFT marketplace where users can buy and sell NFTs to use within the game. The beta version is estimated to launch in the first half of 2022 alongside the Illuvial Metaverse. 

 

13. WEMIX

WEMIX is a blockchain gaming platform developed by WEMADE that provides services such as a crypto wallet, token exchange, game item trade, and a gateway. Upcoming games on WEMIX soon to be released are Aqua Tornado and Fishing Strike.

 

12 Dvision Network

Dvision Network is a blockchain-NFT metaverse platform established with diverse use cases, solving the problems of the traditional gaming industry. The use cases of the metaverse include

  • PET (On-Doll) – Gamify and Play-to-Earn mechanism; users can acquire On-Doll (PET) “to engage in the battle mode to make the contribution to the LAND Purification process.”
  • LAND (Meta-Space) – the actual LAND in Dvision’s metaverse, and the place where the virtual becomes a reality by challenging creation limitations.

It has a patented VR headset that is already being sold by major retailers across the US. In the last 30 days, it had a whopping 2,544% gain.

 

8. My Neighbor Alice

My Neighbor Alice is a multiplayer builder game, where users can build virtual islands, collect items, and meet new friends. It recently announced a partnership with The Sandbox, so that characters in Alice can be played within The Sandbox universe. The estimated release of the game is in Spring 2022.

 

7. SushiSwap

SushiSwap stands out by its AMM feature (automated market maker) that offers liquidity in DeFi. It’s a community-based ecosystem offering all possible DeFi tools. 

The platform recently launched an NFT Metaverse Platform called Shoyu, where celebrated artists can display their digital art. It’s considered as one of the first artistic marketplaces closely tied with decentralized finance.

WAX (The Worldwide Asset eXchange) is a multi-purpose NFT platform for games, digital marketplaces, dApps, exchanges, and more. The metaverse on average receives over 400K daily unique visitors and processes 15 million daily transactions. WAX blockchain is carbon-neutral and functions on the proof-of-stake system. 

 

5. Enjin Coin

Enjin is a blockchain platform and marketplace designed for NFTs. Users can create and manage their NFTs while simultaneously integrating them with other gaming platforms. The Enjin Network has more than 20 million users spread over 250,000 gaming communities.

 

4. The Sandbox

The Sandbox is an Ethereum-based metaverse where users can create, share, and monetize in-game assets and experiences.

Developed in 2012, The Sandbox was launched as a videogame for IOS and Android smartphones. Now, fully fused with blockchain technology, it allows users to purchase parcels with cryptocurrencies. One parcel equals a LAND token, and in the game world, it equals a property of 96 square meters.

 

3. THETA

THETA is a decentralized video streaming network that seeks to provide high-quality video streams without buffering or other issues.

Launched in 2017, Decentraland is a VR platform that runs on the Ethereum blockchain. Its main goal is to give users full ownership of their virtual assets. Users can explore, build structures, buy and sell items, and trade with other users inside this ever-evolving Metaverse.

Decentraland’s native token, MANA, is one of the most popular cryptocurrencies in the industry today. It’s also the first VR platform where users can buy and sell plots of land within this virtual world, host online events, and showcase their virtual art as NFTs.

 

1. Axie Infinity (AXS)

Axie Infinity is an NFT-based trading and battling game, operated by the players of the game themselves. It was inspired by pet-owning early tech games such as Pokémon and Tamagotchi. Axies are the game’s creatures that are collected, bred, and raised in the Axie metaverse. 

Each Axie costs $250-$500 on average, and the most expensive creature sold for $368,000. Axie Infinity has over 2.5 million monthly players, and the number is only increasing.
