El Salvadors pro-Bitcoin President Nayib Bukele has hinted at a possible visit to the White House to meet US President Donald Trump. Bukele Hints at White House Visit
In a recent tweet, President Bukele responded to reports that Trump might invite him to Washington. Instead of a formal reply, he took a lighthearted approach, confirming his willingness to visit while joking about bringing several cans of Diet Coke for Trump, referencing Trumps favorite beverage.
The two leaders already have a friendly relationship. They reportedly spoke after Trumps inauguration, and Trump later thanked Bukele for his cooperation on US border security matters.
If it happens, Bukele would be the first Western Hemisphere leader to meet Trump at the White House during his current term.
