Twitter CEO Intends To Send NFT Profits To African Charities
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey will donate proceeds from his NFT to African charities after converting it to bitcoin.
Jack Dorsey got the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) crowd into a frenzy with his first NFT. Dorsey put his first tweet up for sale on the blockchain.

At the time of writing, the NFT’s highest bid is $2.5 million by a user called Sina Estavi, who outbid Justin Sun, the Tron CEO.
After sharing a link to the NFT, Dorsey quickly replied to his initial tweet, indicating that he would donate proceeds to African charities through GiveDirectly.
The auction is expected to end on March 21st. After this, Dorsey will convert his gains to bitcoin and donate to various charities through GiveDirectly.
GiveDirectly is known for its relief efforts in Africa over the years. Jack Dorsey’s donation will go straight to the Covid Response fund to help fight the pandemic in Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, and Rwanda.
