Most of us are looking for a new NFT project to become a part of, or invest in. The hardest part is finding out which one is best for you and your particular plan. Most buyers seem to like the idea of passive income, because who doesn’t like something that pays you just for owning it? Roaring Leaders (RF) and their creative art designs have found a way to deliver this.

Designed by Marvel illustrator Carlos Dattoli, Roaring Leaders is a deflationary NFT that offers its holders a ton of great utility and access. Recently, one Roaring Leader (RL #9384) was sold for 3.5 ETH on OpenSea. You can check the rest of the collection here.

The Dattoli-designed project has an assortment of interesting and forward-thinking concepts which helps it stand out in an overcrowded NFT space. Some points of utility to note are: burning, staking, breeding, native token, and Leaders’ Fund.

The Leaders’ Fund, in particular, is the most unique and intriguing aspect of this project.

What Is The Leaders’ Fund?

Leaders’ Fund is the first-ever NFT Mutual Fund. The Fund was initially funded with “blue chip” NFTs, provided by the founders. It now includes 3% of secondary sales as part of its basket.

Some of the blue chips in the fund’s basket include BAYC, MAYC, VeeFriend, and Cool Cat. Check out the Leaders’ Fund here on OpenSea. They plan to keep purchasing NFTs with the fund through community voting. They will then distribute fractional ownership to each holder. This is another great avenue to get involved with some NFTs that may be out of your price range, but you still want to own a part of them.

How Do You Burn, Stake, and Breed?

It’s hard to keep up with all of these different functions you can do with your Roaring Leader. So, let’s break them down and dive into their Roadmap 2.0:

Burning: Burning, which essentially means destroying your NFT, is a process that reduces the overall supply and makes the project deflationary, increasing the value for all holders. Though, burning your RL has another advantage beyond shrinking the supply. When you burn RL, you are rewarded with “Elixir.” Each Elixir will give you the ability to upgrade the rarity of one trait for another RL you own. However, the burning mechanism for upgrades has closed as of 11/17 and a total of 1,755 RL were burned.
Staking: Staking NFTs is very similar to how you stake any crypto. When you stake an RL NFT, they are locked and cannot be sold (you can unstake at any time) and you earn 10 $ROAR a day. We will talk more about the $ROAR token below and its use cases. Currently, over 40% of the circulating supply is staked. This means the community believes in the long-term vision.
Breeding: Breeding is coming soon and will require one male RL and one female RL. Breeding will create a separate collection of Roaring Leader Cubs. Breeding costs 600 $ROAR for the first 2,500 cubs. It increases by 600 $ROAR for every 2,500 after, with a max supply of 10,000. What if you don’t have a male and female RL? They have you covered: they will have a tinder style dating marketplace for matching you up with a partner!

What Is The $ROAR Token?

The $ROAR token is newly launched and is packed with utility. Holders earn 10 $ROAR a day for staking each RL, but $ROAR can also be purchased on Sushiswap. Its current price is $0.85 and can be tracked here.

Future use for $ROAR will be breeding, and you will also be able to use $ROAR in their Jungle Store. More utility is on the way as well, including exclusive mints and merchandise for $ROAR holders. They’re creating a true ecosystem with $ROAR.

What’s Next?

As mentioned above, breeding and the Jungle Store is coming soon- so you’ll have a place to spend your hard-earned $ROAR. Breeding will create the new collection of the Roaring Leaders Cub, some of the teased art is fantastic! Along with the breeding for cubs coming soon, a free “assistant” mint/airdrop is coming to all holders as well.
