Render has shown a sharp jump of more than 23% during the last week as on-chain data shows the large hands have continued to buy. Render Has Enjoyed Bullish Momentum Over The Past Week The cryptocurrency sector as a whole has witnessed an uplift recently, but Render has been among the altcoins that have really stood out from the rest. Whereas Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) have only seen weekly profits of around 3% and 9%, respectively, RENDER has shown an impressive 23% jump. Related Reading: Dogecoin Wins Over Major Demand Zone: Path To $0.15 Now Clear? The below chart shows how the recent performance of the asset has been like. Following this sharp growth, Render’s price has now neared the $6.5 mark for the first time in four weeks. In terms of the market cap, the asset has seen its valuation touch $3.3 billion, placing it at the 29th place on the top cryptocurrencies list. The coin is now chasing Pepe (PEPE), which is the 28th largest asset in the sector with a market cap of around $3.9 billion. Though, considering the 18% difference in their valuations, it wouldn’t be an easy task for RENDER, especially since PEPE generally shows a notable rise of its own when the market goes up. As for what could be behind the latest growth that the cryptocurrency has enjoyed, perhaps on-chain data can provide some hints. Sharks & Whales Have Been Busy Buying The Token Recently According to data from the on-chain analytics firm Santiment, the Render sharks and whales have participated in some considerable accumulation during the last eleven weeks. The indicator of relevance here is the “Supply Distribution,” which tells us about the amount of supply that a given wallet group on the network is holding right now. In the context of the current topic, the cohort containing addresses who own at least 100,000 tokens is of interest. At the current price of the coin, this cutoff is equivalent to just under $650,000, which is a significant amount. As such, this group corresponds to the large hands of the market, popularly known as the sharks and whales. Below is the chart shared by the analytics firm, which shows how the Supply Distribution for these investors carrying 100,000+ coins has changed over the last few months: From the graph, it’s apparent that the supply held by the Render sharks and whales has witnessed a considerable increase over the last eleven or so weeks. More specifically, these investors have added 20.54 million tokens to their wallets, equivalent to 3.7% of the total supply. Popcat, the latest Solana-based memecoin sensation, has crowned itself as one of the best-performing cryptocurrencies in the market. The memecoin has stolen the spotlight following its 117% surge throughout Q3, outperforming other well-established tokens in the sector. The feline sensation has now consolidated as the first cat-themed memecoin to hit a $1 billion market capitalization, leading the markets bullish run alongside tokens like Sei (SEI) and Worldcoin (WLD). Related Reading: Bitcoin (BTC) On Track For Strongest September Performance, Is $90,000 Next? POPCAT Hits $1 Billion Market Cap Status Memecoins became the leading sector during this cycle, with many tokens outperforming most altcoins over the last few months. At the front of the frenzy, dog-themed tokens like dogwifhat (WIF) stole the spotlight during Q1 and Q2. However, a feline rival is challenging its spot as Solanas best-performing memecoin. Investors and market watchers have praised the cat-themed sensations performance over the past few months. Throughout Q3s violent market retraces, POPCAT showed a remarkable performance, becoming the largest gainer among the top 100 cryptocurrencies several times. The memecoins price quickly bounced from its 55% pullbacks during the market crashes, recovering and surpassing its previous level each time. POPCATs price has seen a 117% surge in the past three months, driving its price from the $0.68 mark to a new all-time high (ATH). In the late hours of Tuesday, the cryptocurrency broke above the $0.97 resistance level set by its previous ATH. The memecoin continued its 21% jump towards the $1.08 level, its new ATH, before retracing to the $1.01-$1.02 price range. The surge propelled POPCATs market capitalization to the $1 billion mark, cementing its status as the leading cat-themed token and making it the first memecoin in this sector to achieve it. Following its remarkable rise, the token registers a 57.8% and 40.2% surge in the weekly and monthly timeframes. Its daily market activity also saw an 82% jump to a trading daily volume of $133.3 million in the last 24 hours. Investors See Further Price Potential Some crypto whales loaded their bags as POPCAT broke the $1 barrier. On Wednesday morning, on-chain data analytics firm Lookonchain revealed that a crypto investor recently repurchased the cat-themed sensation, suggesting that some investors feel positive about the tokens future performance. Per the post, the whale spent 8,644 SOL, worth around $1.29 million, to buy 1.3 million POPCAT over the past two days. The address bought 456,000 tokens on Monday before acquiring another 843,000 POPCAT when the memecoin hit $1. This whale had previously sold its POPCAT holding at a 45% loss over two months ago. The investor saw $611,000 in losses from selling its 1.69 million tokens. However, before the long-awaited surge to $1, crypto investor Trade4ddict noted that the POPCATs consolidation under the key resistance level was a strong sign for its potential bull continuation. He also suggested that the previous high at $0.8 should offer some support before a potential correction. As of this writing, the memecoin continues to hold the $1 support level, exchanging hands for $1.01. Featured Image from Unsplash.com, Chart from TradingView.com
Chainlink whales are once again on the move in what seems to be a general reawakening. Large transactions on the blockchain network have ballooned recently, alongside a drastic increase in active addresses, hinting at a notable development. Therefore, in this report, we take a look at the significant increase in whale transactions and active addresses, as well as what could have triggered this burst of interest on the previously muted blockchain. Chainlink Whale Volumes Rises 295.93% According to data from the IntoTheBlock website, Chainlink whales are getting active again after a previous drop in activity. This time around, whale transactions consisting of LINK tokens with values of at least $100,000 and above, have seen a notable increase. Related Reading: Bitcoin Prediction: Crypto Pundit Reveals Why $100,000 Is The Nominal Price Level For 2025 On September 22, the number of large Chainlink transactions recorded was only 65, but by September 23, this number had risen to 130. This translates to a 100% increase in the number of transactions. In the same vein, the amount of tokens transacted also surged, but to a larger degree. Data shows that only 1.86 million LINK tokens were moved by Chainlink whales on September 22. However, this figure rose to 7.28 million tokens by September 23. In dollar terms, Chainlink whales moved $20.71 million on September 22 and $82.01 million on September 23. The total growth during this time came out to 295.93%. Daily active addresses also saw a significant increase on the network, although to a lesser degree compared to the whale volumes. Active addresses rose from 1,810 addresses to 2,070 addresses, representing a 14.72% increase. This rise in active addressees, coupled with the increase in whale transactions, suggests that attention is, once again, turning to the Chainlink network. Whats Driving The Recovery? So far, one notable development seems to be the driving force behind the Chainlink recovery and it has to do with the 21.co Bitcoin wrapper. The company announced that it was adopting the Chainlink Proof of Reserves mechanism for its 21BTC token, which is a wrapped version of Bitcoin that was made available on the Solana blockchain in May 2024. Related Reading: Shiba Inu Symmetrical Triangle Pattern Reappears, Why A 200% Rally Is Possible This move was to enable the company ensure completely transparency with 21BTC, while also tapping into the decentralization, programmability, and investor confidence that already exists in the Chainlink Proof of Reserves program. This will span across the 21BTC offering on both the Solana and Ethereum blockchains. As expected, the news was well-received by the community, triggering more active participation from investors. However, it has not had much of an impact on the LINK price, which continues to tread around the $11 level. The altcoins is seeing around 5% gains in the last week, meaning only small gains were recorded as a result of the announcement. Featured image created with Dall.E, chart from Tradingview.com
