Bitcoin Outperforms S&P 500 Amid Market Panic, Says Real Visions Jamie Coutts

In a post on X, Coutts highlighted that Bitcoins recent correction has been smaller than the S&P 500s despite BTC being more than twice as volatile.
BTC with 2.5x the volatility of the S&P 500 experienced a drawdown of 28% vs. the S&P 500s 19%. That is a massive OUTPERFORMANCE, Coutts wrote.
He added that this kind of performance underlines Bitcoins evolving role as a hedge against fiat instability and a stronger store of value in times of macroeconomic distress.
Bitcoin vs. Traditional Markets: A Paradigm Shift?
Coutts suggested that while most risk assets are suffering sharp declines, Bitcoins relative strength signals a deeper shift in how investors view the digital asset:

He believes that Bitcoin could soon take on a more central role in the global financial system, potentially becoming a settlement layer or even a collateral asset in future monetary systems.
