Round-up of the global markets: Tech stocks power the Nasdaq to all time highs

US tech stocks powered the Nasdaq to record highs with the index closing at 15,309. The S&P500 too got a boost from technology. US labour data disappointed and the Dow closed in the red yesterday. European markets made a strong start to September, however the DAX continued to drag. Asian markets opened Thursday, a mixed bag, with the ASX and the Kospi in the red. Gold continues to be range-bound with oil and copper down. Iron ore though continues to march upwards. The treasury yields and the dollar index are absolutely flat with Bitcoin up over 5%.
